Nice to meet you. I’m Shaye.

I began my ceramics journey during a period in my life where I had hustled a little too hard and was burnt out. I was seeking something to help me feel grounded, and working with clay was exactly what I needed. It quickly took over my life and I found myself counting down the days each week until my next class at the local recreation centre.

Years later, my social media feed remains a meditative blend of endless pottery videos, and nothing else brings me the same sense of peace.

In early 2025, I came to a definitive realization: my passion for this ceramics was unwavering. I decided it was time to build a home studio and Strawberry Vale Ceramics was born. Strawberry Vale isn’t just a name - it’s where I grew up, where I went to school, my teenage softball team, it shares my initials - SV, and now this neighbourhood is also home to my very own studio.

I aspire to share my passion for ceramics with the community by offering my work online and at local markets, collaborating with local businesses to bring their creative visions to life, and providing a space for future clay artists who are looking to find a sense of stability, just as I once was.

With love,
